[Three Rivers TESOL] 3RT Updates and Reminders and the PD grant deadline was extended

Hello!

Thank you to all who attended the 3RT Spring Seminar! It was a good morning
of learning about how Duolingo is making English testing more accessible
and how Virtual Reality can be used to expand and extend the
language-learning classroom. We will send out powerpoints of the speakers'
talks soon. Also, a big thank-you to Suzanne Meyers for her work in putting
the seminar together!

Two updates/reminders:

   - The 3RT Professional Development Grant

   has been moved to the end of May. If you have an idea for a way to improve
   your teaching practices or your students' language-learning material,
   please apply before May 20th!
   - The All-For-All Refugee Education Workshop series has their first
   workshop on May 13 from 5:30-8 PM. Dr. Xia Chao (Duquesne University) will
   be speaking at this free event where you can also get ACT 48 credit. See
   the attached flyer for more information.
