Dear ESL teaching community,

This year, All for All<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.changeagency.world%2Fall-for-all%2F&data=01%7C01%7Csdmeyer%40pitt.edu%7Cac9af0aef6a2463fab1408d5cfd29b87%7C9ef9f489e0a04eeb87cc3a526112fd0d%7C1&sdata=GdNZpOmX0J9QbMOAGpCZazFfLnOT8aNifgmzb7h3BTo%3D&reserved=0>, an immigrant inclusion initiative in the Pittsburgh area, has been hosting a Professional Learning Community (PLC) for ESL teachers across the Greater Pittsburgh region, and this month, we celebrated our teachers' membership and collaboration in our last session of the school year.

We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for the second year PLC cohort! The application will be live until June 25, and you can find it here<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgoo.gl%2Fforms%2FBEGsPnVVxlKfTRJN2&data=01%7C01%7Csdmeyer%40pitt.edu%7Cac9af0aef6a2463fab1408d5cfd29b87%7C9ef9f489e0a04eeb87cc3a526112fd0d%7C1&sdata=DfiqaLmB7a1VZLfQX2KpeUxoD6GvV48P06phAn7VP9E%3D&reserved=0>. Our flyer is also attached. Teachers in the K-12 or adult ESL setting can apply. Act 48 hours will be offered.

The PLC was developed to offer a sense of community as well as professional development to teachers in Pittsburgh, where the immigrant landscape has been growing and changing. For further information, here<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwesa.fm%2Fpost%2Flocal-immigrant-inclusion-group-offering-training-english-second-language-teachers%23stream%2F0&data=01%7C01%7Csdmeyer%40pitt.edu%7Cac9af0aef6a2463fab1408d5cfd29b87%7C9ef9f489e0a04eeb87cc3a526112fd0d%7C1&sdata=xg9Pn%2FGpt4cVMoYKvf4ZN%2BAr5IYRexrUYdKAA4N1A2c%3D&reserved=0> is a write-up recently featured on WESA about the PLC.

All for All has been able to offer monthly professional development on various topics to a cohort of 15 teachers. They've also worked in pairs and groups on Action Research Projects around issues facing their students and students' families.

As one of the ESL teachers in their cohort recently shared, "All for All's cohort has the power to literally TRANSFORM districts. If this organization keeps reaching new people, I can only imagine what will continue to be accomplished across the city and its suburbs!"

If this opportunity to collaborate and learn with area ESL teachers interests you, please fill out the application in the link above and you'll hear back from us this summer. Have a great day!

Best,

Trisha
