Dear Three Rivers TESOL members,

The Fall Conference is coming up in a few weeks. Thanks so much for
registering to attend!

I'm writing today to ask you a favor. Our conferences are a collaborative
community effort, and one of the ways we help each other is to chair each
other's presentations.

*What does a session chair do?*

Session chairs have two main duties:

   - Briefly introduce the speaker(s) at the start of the presentation
   - Keep track of the time so that the speaker(s) don't run over

If you're interested in attending a specific presentation anyway,
volunteering to chair that presentation is a great way to ensure you'll
have a chance to chat with the presenter one-on-one to coordinate and to
get to know them better, so you can also think of it as a networking
opportunity.

The *red* cells show where we still need chairs. The *green* cells show

Dear Three Rivers TESOL members and friends,
Thanks to your support, Three Rivers TESOL is (almost) ready for its Fall
conference. Attached please find the conference information booklet with
detailed information on all sessions, conference site, and logistics. We
will send out information about the technology set up to all the presenters
later. Please spread the news and encourage your colleagues and students to
attend.

We are also seeking interest session chairs for the following sessions:
PK-12, Teacher education (TE), Computer-assisted language learning (CALL),
and Adult education (AE). If you are interested to become a chair, please
contact me. Thank you so much for your support and we are looking forward
to seeing you on the 21st at Duquesne.
